COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police are on accident alert status as of Friday night at 8:40 p.m. due to deteriorating road and weather conditions.
This afternoon the city has seen scattered showers, heavy hail in some parts, and snow is moving in this evening. There was also a tornado sighting out near Falcon.

If you’re involved in a traffic crash with no fatalities or injuries and no one is suspected of being under the influence, and both drivers have their license, registration and insurance information – DO NOT CALL POLICE.
Instead exchange information and report it within 72 hours by going here: cspd.coloradosprings.gov and click Report a Minor Traffic Accident.
If the other factors exist you can call the police for help.
Drivers make sure you travel at a safe speed for the conditions and leave a safe distance between your car and the ones in front of you.
You’re advised to stay home altogether if you can.
