Missing man found safe in Colorado Springs

UPDATE: Colorado Springs police said Douglas Hinchman was found safe at approximately 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Thanks to everyone for sharing this story to help bring him back safe.


COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs police tweeted Thursday morning that they’re looking for a missing, at-risk man who disappeared overnight.

Police are looking for Douglas Hinchman, who suffered a traumatic brain injury and suffers from depression.  He was last seen at an assisted living center Wednesday night. Police he walked away during the night.

That facility was located in the 500 block of S. Rockrimmon Blvd, which is east of the intersection between Rockrimmon Blvd. and Vindicator Drive.

He’s described as a 6’0 tall white man with blonde hair and a heavy build. He might be wearing a brown leather San Francisco 49ers jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone who sees Hinchman should call CSPD immediately at 719-444-7000.
