Southern Colorado | Always Watching Out For You

Ski Report for the week ending March 17, and it’s a real pot o’ (white) gold!

It’s your ski report for the week ending Sunday, March 17More avalanches the past week, a blizzard on Wednesday, and while mountain passes are snow-packed, the ski conditions themselves are at their peak.

The latest ski conditions…on average, another 5-10 inches of snow from Wednesday’s storm, padded the slopes. Avalanche danger is still an issue, but mitigation efforts have helped.

Huge bases across the board…with Breckenridge among the 6 resorts topping at a whopping 100 inch base or more, and Wolf Creek an incredible 170 inches!

The numbers…a pot o’ gold!

Monarch and Loveland are in great shape, and Breck…as I said…at a remarkable 100″, a triple digit base!

Bright sunshine in the forecast, all 3 days ahead, in the high country.
Highs at Monarch and Loveland go from around 20 today, to mid 20s Saturday, to 30-ish, Sunday.

In Keystone and Breckenridge, highs at base camp…near 30 today, warming to 35F Saturday, 40 ish Sunday.

The “white gold” is deeper than at any point of the season.

Final note, Winter Park, the Mary Jane, has extended their season, closing May 12.
That is your ski report for this week, ending Sunday March 17th.
