Arrest made in deadly apartment shooting

COLORADO SPRINGS – Police have arrested a man for a deadly shooting at a Colorado Springs apartment complex earlier this week.

Andrew Firkins, Jr., 46, faces a First Degree Murder charge in the death of Nicholas Laduke, 37, on March 12.

Police were called to the 4600 block of Winewood Village Drive around 8:30 that night after a reported shooting, and found Laduke with an apparent gunshot wound. The Colorado Springs Fire Department pronounced Laduke dead when they arrived at the scene.
