COLORADO – Not one, but two avalanches over the weekend between Frisco and Copper Mountain left some cars trapped in it.

The slides did close parts of I-70. Thankfully, no one was injured.

If you are on the road and find yourself in the middle of an avalanche stay inside your car. Someone will come to help you. Be sure to turn off your engine as carbon monoxide will build up and it can kill you. Also do not smoke due to the dangers of using up limited oxygen in your car under the snow. If you have cell service and are able to call 9-1-1.
