WELD COUNTY – Colorado State Patrol posted to Facebook Sunday that drivers hit three State Patrol vehicles and one trooper over the weekend.
The fourth crash happened Sunday afternoon on I-25 near the Wyoming border, closing the interstate for several hours.

Luckily, no troopers were seriously injured in the crashes. However, CSP said it serves as a reminder for drivers to move over when they see traffic stops on the side of the road.
Troopers have repeatedly asked drivers to pay attention and move over following the deaths of Troopers Jamie Jursevics in 2015 and Cody Donahue in 2017. Both of those troopers were hit by vehicles on I-25 in Douglas County.
