COLORADO SPRINGS – A Colorado Springs woman is transforming handwritten messages between kids and their deployed military parents into handwritten messages on pillows or signs.

The program is called Project Love Always.

Ashley Leva is looking for nominations of 50 kids to get items made for April, the “Month of the Military Child.”

“Our hope in doing that is to help them feel closer to their parent that they are separated from, and have that keepsake be a part of everyday lives,” Ashley Leva said.
