Around 11 a.m., officers spotted the suspect’s car near Marion Dr. and North Academy Blvd. A chase ensued that finally ended when an officer was able to force the suspect’s car onto a curb and another officer collided head-on with the suspect’s car.

In total, three CSPD vehicles were damaged in the chase and one officer suffered minor injuries.

Southbound lanes of Powers from Galley to Platte were closed for several hours while CSPD completed their investigation and cleared the scene. The lanes were reopened between 3 and 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
