COLORADO SPRINGS – A local tea shop is trying to help fill empty food pantries. Skyhawk Tea at Dublin and Academy is collecting non-perishable food items. They’re also offering discounts on store items for those who donate.

The owner says she and her family has had to seek help before.

“It’s something that’s near and dear to my heart,” says Darlene Steier. “To provide the community with much-needed food, especially the children.”

The donations are going to care and share and other small pantries in the area. They’re hoping to collect around 500 lbs. of food.
