COLORADO SPRINGS – A man is in custody after police say he broke into a home in Colorado Springs early Monday morning.

Police responded to a home near the intersection of Academy Boulevard and E. San Miguel Street just before 3 a.m. Monday on a reported burglary in progress.

The residents inside said they searched their home and found a suspect, later identified as Dylan Johnson, hiding inside a closet. That’s when police said they fought Johnson and restrained him until officers arrived.

Johnson was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
