CUSTER COUNTY – If you happen to see a decent amount smoke south of Wetmore and Westcliffe, don’t worry. According to the Custer County Sheriff’s Office, it’s nothing more than a controlled burn taking place off Highway 165 and Highway 78.
There’s no need to call 911.
