COLORADO SPRINGS – Just after 4 a.m. Tuesday morning, CSPD officers performed a welfare check in the 1700 block of Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.
CSPD said information indicated a man was passed out in a vehicle that was partially parked in the roadway.
Officers and medical personnel contacted the man and then discovered the plated did not match the information for the car.
A check of the VIN number revealed the car was stolen.
CSPD said the man fled the scene on foot as soon as officers received that information.
Officers pursued and were able to subdue the man using a taser.
The suspect was identified as Tyler Hart.
