DENVER – Denver International Airport ranked fifth in a list of busiest airports in the U.S.
DIA sees more than 58 million passengers every year and ranked 18th busiest airport in the world in 2016 according to the Denver International Airport website.
The Federal Aviation Administration released a report Monday showing that O’Hare International Airport in Chicago had over 900,000 arrivals and departures in 2018, making it the busiest airport.
This is the first time in four years that O’Hare surpassed Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Atlanta’s airport was a close second with more than 895,000 arrivals and departures, followed by Los Angeles, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Denver rounded out the top five.
O’Hare also held the top spot in 2014.
