COLORADO SPRINGS – Juste before midnight on Saturday, CSPD officers were dispatched to the area of 3900 N. Nevada on a possible home invasion.
The caller told police that someone had tried to break into their home and assault the occupants of the home.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect behind the building. The suspect “took an aggressive stance with officers,” but eventually complied when additional units arrived.
According to CSPD, the suspect had tried to kick in a door up the street but then made his way to the second location and tried the same.
The occupants of the second home opened the door but were able to keep the suspect from entering and then chased him away.
No one was injured and no property was taken during the incident.
The suspect, identified as Valentino White, was taken into custody without incident.
