PUEBLO — Heritage Elementary school is one of 15 schools in Colorado to receive honors for helping every one of their students, no matter their situations in life.
The school will receive the Colorado Centers for Excellence award from the state for 2018 for having at least 75% of students facing varying levels of poverty but still excelling in state tests.
PrinicIpal Kim Cura says educating every child and watching them grow is her priority and the priority of the entire staff.
Heritage Elementary will be honored on March 6th.
