COLORADO SPRINGS – Just after 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, CSPD units were dispatched to a robbery with a weapon at a jewelry store on the east side of Colorado Springs.

The store is located at 1500 North Academy Blvd.

According to CSPD, preliminary information indicates that four males, possibly two white and two black entered the store, smashed display cases, and took multiple items.

CSPD said at least one of the men was armed with a handgun. All were wearing black clothing.

The store was open and one customer was inside during the robbery.

CSPD Robbery Detectives responded to the scene and are leading the investigation.

This is the third jewelry store robbery in Colorado Springs in five days. On Friday, 1/25 two other jewelry stores were robbed in a similar fashion. CSPD has not said if there is a connection between the three robberies.
