COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs police were contacted about a man sleeping in a sleeping bag on a bus bench at Austin Bluffs Pkwy. and Academy Blvd. at about 7:20 a.m. Tuesday morning.
When officers arrived to check on the man, they found that he was deceased. Police say he was in his 40’s and they do not believe his death involved any kind of foul play. His cause of death and his name are unknown at this time. It’s also unknown if the man was homeless. There were 110 beds available at the Springs Rescue Mission Monday night with 76 for the men and 34 available for the women.
