Springs Police believe two Friday night armed robberies are related

COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs Police said they believe two armed robberies that happened late Thursday night along Powers Boulevard were related.

Police said they responded to an armed robbery at a  business near the Walmart at Powers and Palmer Park Blvd. around 9:02 p.m. Thursday. CSPD said two black men in their early 20s walked into the business, drew handguns and demanded money. Officers said they were wearing masks that covered their faces.

While officers with the Stetson Hills division investigated that robbery, another one was reported at a business to the north of the first one. The second robbery happened at a business near the King Soopers store at Stetson Hills and Powers, about 10 minutes away.

No employees were hurt at either location.
