PUEBLO – Necessary training on Friday came with the sounds of gunfire and explosions at Pueblo’s East High School. “Even though we know it’s coming, you don’t know when, you don’t know how, you don’t know where. And, you know, it’s nerve-wracking,” said High School Junior, Marvin London Junior. The exercise was an intense active shooter drill.

The exercise involved first responders, faculty and students. Pueblo Police led the scenario involving many other agencies from the area. “That way we can work as one team, because in the event that this really occurred, every agency is going to be there and we’re all going to have our own parts,” Sgt. Antoinette Ramos with Pueblo Police Department.
