Pueblo Police Department accepting applications

Posted

PUEBLO – The Pueblo Police Department wants more people to join the Police Academy and they’re making some changes in hopes of making that happen.

The department said all you need is a high school diploma to be considered. They have also partnered with CSU Pueblo.

Through the partnership with the college, if you graduate from the academy, you will receive nine college credits from the university.

“We will continue to make adjustments where necessary and capitalize on relationships that are beneficial to both of the organizations that deliver higher education in this community, the police department, and the public,” said Chief Troy Davenport.

The deadline to sign up is January 27th. So far, 83 people have submitted applications to the department.
