COLORADO – If you’re looking to spend a day on the slopes anytime in the near future, get ready to pay a pretty penny.

For the first time ever, it now costs more than $200 to get on the lift at Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek. That’s $209 to be exact.

Vail Resorts said getting on the slopes is much like buying an airline ticket, purchasing your passes early is the best way to get the best deal.

You can get a $10 discount if you buy your ticket in advance online.

Here are the costs for an adult at some other ski areas around Colorado.

Breckenridge – $189

Keystone – $169

Loveland – $79

Monarch Mountain – $89
