AURORA – “This was one of the most violent altercations I have ever seen in my career.”
That’s how Aurora Police are describing the body camera video of a violent struggle between three officers and a suspect.
Officers were called Monday night to a family disturbance. When they arrived, the suspect was reportedly choking a man and then rushed officers.
Aurora Police said officers then used their tasers, but there was no effect on the suspect.
The man violently fought officers for more than seven minutes and then became unresponsive.
Aurora Police said the Coroner is working on determining a cause of death.
Two officers were injured in the altercation and are recovering from their injuries.
