PUEBLO – Pueblo Police tweeted about the heroic actions of a Pueblo officer that likely saved a life early Monday morning.
Police said Officer Greg Golden was dispatched to the W. 4th Street bridge around 4:38 a.m. where he found a man climbing a fence off the side of the bridge.
Police said the man appeared to be trying to commit suicide. Capt. Tom Rummel said the man had one leg over the fence when Officer Golden jumped over the concrete barrier, pulled the man from the fence and held onto him until help arrived.
The man was not hurt and was taken to the hospital for evaluation and help.
