DENVER – The Denver International Airport is now the only airport in the country using a new security screening system.
Monday, airport staff and TSA agents demonstrated the new body scanner technology.
With the body scanner, travelers don’t have to put their hands over their heads and can get through quicker.
There is only one unit for now, and if all goes well over the next three months, the hope is that the airport can move to using just this new technology.
The new system was tested in Los Angeles this past Spring, but DIA is the first airport in the country to begin using it.
