COLORADO SPRINGS – Just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning, CSPD was notified of a crash at the intersection of E. Uintah Street and N. Circle Dr.

When officers arrived at the scene, CSPD said they found the crash involved a Ford pickup and a Chrysler SUV.

CSPD said the driver of the truck had run a red light for westbound Uintah and struck the Chrysler, which was southbound on Circle Dr. The driver of the truck then fled the scene on foot.

The driver of the Chrysler was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

CSPD said officers were able to apprehend the driver of the pickup a short time later. He has been identified as 44-year-old Jarred Durham, of Colorado Springs.

Durham was found to be driving under the influence of drugs, in addition to driving a stolen vehicle. He was arrested and charged with those crimes along with vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident involving serious injuries.
