DENVER – Six residents of an apartment complex at 8828 East Florida Avenue on Denver’s east side are displaced after a naked man driving a black Nissan Altima crashed into their building at about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. One of them was inside of the vehicle and the other person is a resident in the building.
Two garden-level units sustained major damage, and a technical rescue team is at the scene working to stabilize the building today. Those two units, as well as two units on each of the two floors directly above them, were evacuated.
The American Red Cross is assisting at least nine displaced residents. There’s no word yet on why the car crashed into the building or whether the driver could be charged.
The driver’s name is unknown at this time.
