COLORADO – A group of Colorado pilots donated their services to make Christmas special for veterans in Colorado’s rural areas over the weekend.

The pilots flew out of Centennial Airport in Englewood and flew to areas like Durango, Burlington and other small towns around the state to drop off food and gifts. It’s the eighth year the VFW Airlift has taken place.

Volunteers from local VFW branches then unload the holiday items and they see to the distribution of the gifts.
