COLORADO SPRINGS – Saturday was a day to remember for many children at the Colorado Springs Airport.

Dozens of children took part in a “Fantasy Flight” that took them from the Colorado Springs Airport to the North Pole.

The kids boarded a Skywest flight and rode it all the way to the North Pole, (really gate 3 at the airport). Once they kids the landed, they were greeted by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

It was a big day for the kids, but also for their parents.

“I almost cried when she left cause I was like “oh man,”” said Mom, Brittany Malina. “It’s awesome. This was a crazy awesome experience. I hope my son gets to do it too.”

The night also included dinner for the kids and their families.

The kids who take part in the Fantasy Flight are enrolled in early childhood programs due to income levels or special needs.
