MONUMENT – Be prepared for another closure on I-25 as CDOT crews repair pavement on Monument Hill on Monday, December 10th.
All of southbound I-25 will be closed starting at 8 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday between Monument Hill and Highway 105.
Southbound traffic will use the weigh station as a one-lane only detour around the construction. Crews will be in the area to help traffic and setting up temporary barriers.
This is all part of the South Gap project to improve 18 miles on I-25 from south of Castle Rock to Monument with an additional lane in each direction. The extra lane will be a toll lane, but carpools of three or more and motorcycles will be able to use the lane free of charge.
