LONGMONT – Several Walmart customers in Longmont experienced a Christmas miracle last week.

A “Secret Santa” came into the store and dropped off a $45,000 donation to pay for all of the items that were on layaway. Since then, the store has been contacting customers, telling them to come pick up their layaway items.

Mothers Roxy Holle and Jaime Day are two of those people. Both said they thought it was a glitch at first, but the act of kindness ended up saving their families’ holidays.

“Each person got to the counter and they’re just like, “oh an anonymous donor paid it off for you,”” said Roxy Holle. “The next person same thing, and then everybody was just really happy and excited.”

“People like us, we don’t always know how Christmas is going to happen,” said Jaime Day. “People do small acts which is greatly appreciated, but this one really stood out.”

The store has not revealed who the big-hearted secret Santa is.
