COLORADO – At the beginning of the year, Dick’s Sporting Goods stopped selling what they call assault weapons and they no longer allow anyone under the age of 21-years of age to buy any kind of weapon. It was done in response to the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting where 17-people lost their lives.

Now, the company may be taking it a step further by replacing hunting gear with baseball-related items. The company says hunting gear is not a big seller and that they’re looking into the possibilty of discontinuing it completely as a smart business move.

Dick’s also owns 35 Field & Stream stores across the country, which specializes in hunting and fishing gear.
