COLORADO SPRINGS – Christmas has come early for families looking to fill their cabinets.
Care and Share Food Bank just received an abundance of food from the USDA and they are looking to get distribute to the community. This isn’t just any old food giveaway, Care and Share says this one is special.
“A lot of this food is perishable, such as milk, produce,” said Joanna Wise, Care and Share spokesperson. “We want to make sure people can get it in time before it does expire.”
To get this food to those that need it most, before it goes bad, Care and Share is hosting four different mobile food pantries.
They’ll be held from 3-6 p.m. at the Care and Share location at 2605 Preamble Point in Colorado Springs. MAP
