COLORADO SPRINGS – Traffic is severely snarled on N. Academy Blvd. with a water main repair project underway at Village Rd. South. The southbound lanes are completely closed and traffic is being diverted into one of the northbound lanes for through traffic.
Crews from Colorado Springs Utilities expect the work to continue through Thursday at the soonest. The work and constricted lanes are causing major back-ups for commuters in the area.
Taking an alternate route if possible is highly recommended at this time.
