PUEBLO – Cannabis is making up a larger chunk in the Pueblo County budget coming in as the second largest industry to pay cumulative taxes, according to County Commissioner Sal Pace.
The largest industry right now is energy conversion which includes Black Hills Energy and Xcel Energy.
Marijuana makes up about $6.5 million of the county’s $85 million budget.
The Pueblo County Marijuana Tax has been going toward building trails, college scholarships, parks and other programs.
