COLORADO SPRINGS – Sunday morning, a CSPD officer located an occupied stolen vehicle at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Arlington Dr.

CSPD said the officer attempted to contact the occupants, but the driver fled and in doing so struck multiple vehicles in the parking lot of the apartment complex.

The officer did not pursue the vehicle, but it was located a short time later abandoned off Glacier Dr.

CSPD said their investigation revealed that prior to fleeing on foot the occupants had exited the vehicle while it was still in drive, which led to two other vehicles being struck on Glacier Dr.

Officers were able to locate both suspects in the area and they were taken into custody without further incident.

According to CSPD, the driver of the stolen vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Pablo Gonzales. He is currently being held at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center on traffic and motor vehicle theft-related charges.
