Thanksgiving Day shopping? It’s a thing

Posted

COLORADO SPRINGS –  While some people are biting at the turkey legs, others are biting at the bit to get some shopping done.

The opportunity to get Black Friday deals the day before is not lacking in Colorado Springs. Those opportunities won’t be at The Citadel or Chapel Hills malls since both will be closed. A few of the stores that have separate exterior entrances may be open, but it’s best to call in advance before you drive over.

Big Lots plans to open the earliest tomorrow, beginning at 7:00 a.m. JCPenney will open at 2:00 p.m., followed by Best Buy, Macy’s, Target, Kohl’s and Goodmans at 5:00 p.m. Dick’s Sporting Goods and Sears plan to open their doors at 6:00 p.m. along with Walmart.
