COLORADO SPRINGS & PUEBLO — The Rescue Mission hosted dozens of people for a home cooked meal on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
In Pueblo, the meal was served inside the old Wayside Cross building, more than 50 folks showed up to enjoy a warm lunch. Those who worry about where their next meal comes from say this feast is one of the most important meals of the year for them and gives them a chance to relax and enjoy spending time in a warm place and enjoy conversation and make new friends.
Praise Assembly of God will also host a Thanksgiving meal for the people of Pueblo on Thursday at 1:00 p.m.
In Colorado Springs, the annual Rescue Mission meal was hosted at the City Auditorium which was packed with hundreds who were in need of a good meal. There were also giveaways with warm socks and coats being handed out.
