BRECKENRIDGE, CO- A lot of homeowners in Breckenridge are rejoicing Thursday night after the local forest troll, Isak Heartstone, was removed.

The 15 foot troll set up on the Wellington Trail officially came down Thursday, piece by piece.

He was a source of controversy since he was built in August.

The troll was so popular, hundreds of people a day would stop by to check him out. Nearby homeowners complained of illegal parking, littering and loss of property.

The town council had hoped to revisit the issue in the spring, but the visits did not slow down once the cold rolled in. So council decided it should be removed now.

Parts of the troll were saved and are now in storage.
