Car plows into camper on Columbia Street Saturday morning.

COLORADO SPRINGS – A driver is recovering and clean-up is underway Saturday morning after a car lost control and plowed into a camper outside of a home early this morning.

The crash happened on a curve in the 900 block of Columbia Street just north of San Miguel. It’s believed that speed and possibly alcohol are factors in the accident. No one inside the home was injured and the house sustained no damage.

Colorado Springs police are investigating the cause of the accident. The driver’s name is unknown right now.

The driver was injured after failing to negotiate a curve at a high speed on Columbia Street.
