COLORADO SPRINGS – Lyft is starting an all-access plan for its riders today. It’s a subscription plan that you pay monthly and it locks in a set price for your rides for 30-days.
Lyft says it’s a $450-dollar value. Riders pay $299 for 30 rides up to $15-dollars. If you exceed the $15-dollar amount, you only pay the difference. You’ll also receive a 5% discount on all of your other rides.
While it starts in Colorado today, it will be available nationwide by the end of the week. The company says the plan can save people up 59-percent per month compared to owning a car.
Lyft also says that as we move further into the future, we won’t own transportation, and they’re hoping people will subscribe to it like Netflix, ClassPass or Amazon Prime.
