PUEBLO – A homeless man was killed in an auto vs. pedestrian crash near 4th Street in Pueblo Sunday.

Pueblo Police said there was a food giveaway for the homeless near the Midtown Shopping Center. One of the participants, a homeless man, then reportedly walked into traffic and was hit by a car and killed.

Police said the man did not use a crosswalk. He is believed to be in his 60s, but an exact age has yet to be determined.

Alcohol and drug use are not suspected for the driver of the car, according to Pueblo Police. There are some lane restrictions along 4th Street for the investigation.

It is unknown if there are any charges pending for the driver.
