PUEBLO -Pueblo is known as the Steel City, The Home of Heroes and now home to some of the best tasting drinking water in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Pueblo was named the winner of a competition featuring water from 11 municipalities in Wyoming, New Mexico and Colorado. Santa Fe, N.M. came in second place and the Roxborough Water and Sanitation District in Littleton, Colorado came in third place.
A panel of judges judged the water on taste, appearance and odor. The panel included a taste tester with O’Dell brewing, a CSU engineering professor who works with water treatment along with several other experts.
This means Pueblo’s water will face off with samples from around the country in the “Best of the Best” water taste test competition at the American Water Works Association’s conference in Denver next June.
