PUEBLO – It’s a crowd favorite at the annual Chile & Frijoles Festival: Walter’s Pueblo Chile Beer!
At this year’s event, people will be able to drink this popular beverage in a new way – a can.
The company has been serving the chile beer out of kegs for years. Workers told News 5 they chose to make the switch to help the business to grow.
The brewery has a canning line up and running, and the entire team has been working hard to get everything ready in time for Chile Fest.
During this weekend’s event you can get Walter’s Pueblo Chile Beer at either Wine Down By the River or at Walter’s Brewery & Taproom. Before Chile Fest kicks off there’s going to be a special launch of the can on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Walter’s Taproom.
Andy Sanchez, co-owner/partner at the brewery, said, “It’s a great team effort and we’re happy to be a small business in Pueblo producing a great product.”
On Tuesday, Sanchez said thousands of cans were ready to be sold at Chile Fest. The company will be at the event all weekend. The beer will also be out for retail sale throughout southern Colorado this fall.
