BOULDER – CU Boulder Police received a report of a man with a knife at a dormitory early Friday morning, prompting the university to issue security alerts early Friday morning.

CU Boulder issued an emergency alert, specifically warning students in the Farrand Residence Hall to “RUN. HIDE. FIGHT” due to a serious threat on campus at 3:50 a.m. Friday.

Twenty-eight minutes later, CU issued a second alert that said there was no threat and the person had a pocketknife and was displaying it in a “non-threatening manner.”

CU Boulder said it is still reviewing witness interviews to determine exactly what led to the call.

No one was hurt.
