COLORADO SPRINGS – In preparation for a possible natural disaster in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and neighboring states, FEMA has requested the assistance of AMR.

The company is sending 4 crewmembers from AMR Colorado Springs, plus 9 additional personnel from Colorado with ambulance equipment to be deployed for post-storm response efforts.

These crews anticipate being in the southeastern U.S. for a week to two weeks.

According to a release from the company, they are FEMA’s prime contractor for services.  Company officials do not expect the deployment of crews to have an impact on their services under contract with Colorado Springs and other government entities.
