El Paso County Search and Rescue resumes efforts to find missing hiker

MONUMENT – El Paso County Search and Rescue crews are heading back out to resume their search for a missing 20-year-old man last seen Sunday morning.

Search and Rescue crews, plus more than 90 volunteers, returned to the area Wednesday morning.  A Flight for Life helicopter crew was also in the area conducting aerial surveillance.  Colorado Springs Fire Department crews were also out with drones to assist in the search.

Kevin Rudnicki is 5’9 and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green t-shirt, khaki cargo shorts with tan boots and a University of Wyoming baseball cap.

He was last seen on the trail by one of his teachers around 8:45 a.m. Sunday.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone who is hiking or biking in the area to be aware of the situation and to keep an eye out for him or clues that could help find him.
