COLORADO SPRINGS – Police arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing a 19-year-old man in the parking lot of the Family Development Center at UCCS.
Police arrested 22-year-old Micahi Stacey Hughes in connection to the shooting. Officers said he has been charged with first-degree murder.
The 19-year-old victim in the case, who died from a gunshot wound at the hospital, has not yet been identified. It is unknown if the victim was a UCCS student.
Police said the shooting was reported around 9:55 p.m. Wednesday night, but they have not yet said what led up to the shooting.
