COLORADO SPRINGS – The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm for Otero County, including the towns of Rocky Ford and Swink until 5:15 p.m.

Quarter-sized hail and 60 mph winds are possible with this storm.

While no severe weather watches have been issued yet by the National Weather Service, severe weather dropped large hail over Manitou Springs and south parts of Colorado Springs Friday.

As the evening goes along, chances for damaging thunderstorms shift east to the plains. Hail up to 1 inch, strong winds and heavy rains are the biggest storms threats today. Storms will move east into Kansas tonight and we’ll be dry by Saturday morning.
