COLORADO SPRINGS – The police department has identified 31-year-old Patricia J. Hynek as the woman killed in a motorcycle crash late Friday night.
According to police, Hynek lost control of her motorcycle at Village Rd. and N. Academy Blvd. She died at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours as officers investigated the crash.
A few hours later another motorcyclist was killed in the same area.
Police say 48-year-old Alford L. Mannix was speeding when he hit the side of an SUV. He died at the scene.
Northbound Academy was closed down again until after 3:00 p.m. while police investigated the cause of the crash.
