RUSH – The Miami-Yoder School JT60 District decided to cancel classes Wednesday after an explosion on campus Tuesday.
The Tri-County Fire Volunteer Fire Department tells News 5 a crew was working in a pit to fix the sprinkler system at the school when an electric charge ignited a gas line, causing an explosion.
One man was flown to the hospital with burns on his face and hands, but firefighters tell us his injuries are not life threatening.
The district has not yet announced when classes are set to resume.
